MCP Setup

Connect Trainerrr to your AI assistant

The mobile app is the main Trainerrr experience. MCP is an optional alternative for people who prefer to log workouts, build plans, and review progress through an AI assistant.

Server URL: https://mcp.trainerrr.xyz/mcp Requires a Trainerrr account

Server URL

Add this URL in an MCP-compatible client that supports remote HTTP MCP servers:

https://mcp.trainerrr.xyz/mcp

The server uses your Trainerrr account to access only your own training data. During setup, your AI client should open a browser sign-in flow for Trainerrr.

How to add it

  1. Open your AI assistant or MCP client settings.
  2. Find the area for MCP servers, integrations, connectors, or developer tools.
  3. Add a remote MCP server and paste https://mcp.trainerrr.xyz/mcp as the server URL.
  4. If the client asks for a transport type, choose remote HTTP, streamable HTTP, or the closest HTTP-based MCP option.
  5. Complete the Trainerrr browser sign-in flow when prompted.
  6. Ask the assistant to use Trainerrr to log a workout, build a plan, or review your recent training.
Client support varies

Different AI clients expose MCP settings in different places. If your client does not support remote MCP servers yet, keep using the Trainerrr mobile app and try the MCP connection again after your client adds support.

What you can do with MCP

  • Log a workout from normal language, including exercises, sets, reps, weight, and notes.
  • Log food and meal estimates, including calories, macros, serving details, and reusable meal entries.
  • Create a workout plan with days, exercises, sets, rest, and progression notes.
  • Search the Trainerrr exercise library while building a plan.
  • Review workout history, weekly progress, and current targets.
  • Add journal notes and check-ins from conversation.

Privacy and access

MCP access is scoped to the Trainerrr account you sign in with. Do not add the server on shared devices unless you trust the AI client and the operating system account.

When you use Trainerrr through ChatGPT or another MCP client, the client may send your workout, nutrition, target, journal, and progress-check-in requests to Trainerrr so the requested action can be completed for your account.
